Lobster and Champagne

from $425.00

Not sure what inspired a mid-winter feast of summer delicacies like this. Perhaps we needed a dose of summer during a typical New England cold snap that gave no signs of relenting. The juxtaposition of Andrew Wyeth’s Christina’s World against the frosty window was probably part of the same effort. These crustaceans may have come from Monhegan, where lobstermen venture out as early as December even though much of coastal Maine stops lobstering as their quarry has moved offshore to deeper, warmer water.
