Monhegan

The view from a borrowed mooring in the tight little harbor looking up to the Island Inn, the boat beach, and the red house. The lighthouse is on the highest point of the island and is visible for many miles on a clear night. In summer the island swarms with artists. When the crowds follow the warm weather off island, the birdwatchers arrive to take in the migratory birds who also stop on their way to some other place.
